F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2009

this has got to be one of the best FOC thing in my life so far =D  bro’s company gave him free tickets ^-^

reached there at around 4, and the BMW support race was going on. was crossing the temporary bridge which lies above the track, and it was SCARY when the cars sped past underneath cos it’s so freaking LOUD, and the bridge was vibrating and all. jumped outta of my skin, mannn.

when i reached the grandstand BMW practice over already, so didnt see. then came the Aston Martins. chio cars =) pretty loud too. oh the thing abt this post is that there will be zero or shibai photos of the cars cos THEY’RE ALL JUST TOO FAST. lousy digital compact cameras. took videos instead.

went to explore the park a bit and bought the survival kit. well $2 only, and it goes to red cross, so why not. went back to grandstand for the BMW qualifying. and i didn’t realise the word FORMULA in front of the BMW in the programme schedule. i thought it’s normal cars. was holding up the camera to video, the cars zoomed by and OMG EARS DAMN PAIN quick put down camera and stuff ear plugs. oh man. even though it’s a smaller version of real formula cars, it’s still LOUD. damn.

50mins till the real F1 run! exploration again~ alot of the sponsors’ booths selling their EXPENSIVE merchandise. ok at least it’s expensive to me. cos i dun see the price stopping ppl from crowding and buying the stuff. so many ppl crowded at Ferrari booth. guess tt even tho things aren’t looking up for Ferrari in the championship, they’re still earning big bucks haha. and i dunno why Brawn has so small a booth and is sandwiched btw 2 trees O.o and the food? FISH & CHIPS – $15, HOKKIEN MEE – $8, SOFT DRINKS – $3, BOTTLED WATER – $2 etc. you get the point.oh and some ppl dancing and shaking their butts. bro said they came last year too haha.

i think i walked alot. from padang to esplanade to suntec haha. to and fro. found a place beside the Stamford grandstand to see the turning point of the track. even though i have Padang grandstand seat, i have to admit it’s sorta boring cos it’s a straight stretch and they’re all just too fast. zoom, gone, zoom, gone. so next time, JUST GET WALKABOUT TICKETS PPL. dun waste money on grandstand, unless you are in those suites which i think is highly impossible to afford. lol.

oh one funny thing – i entered in and out the grandstand so many times tt the young staff [poly age?] alr recognise my face and just gestured for me to go ahead without checking my pass XD

seated at the grandstand, this time fully prepared and armed with earplugs. and did i mention that i saw some… stupid people with the earplugs inside out? seriously. and some crazy ppl who nv wear earplugs (mostly ang mohs), including kids under 10. madness! cannot understand how they tahan.

so fast so fast! everyone’s necks keep turning 180 degrees non-stop lol. Red Bull somehow keep passing us. and they come back so quick that you wonder “izzit reli the same one, or different one???” really… like never-ending. i think the nice looking ones are: Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren. Actually Brawn and BMW are not tt chio. not stylo enough! and my MUM just have to CALL me on the phone at this time, i pick up and yelled with the cars so so loud in the background “我现在在看车啦!!! 听不到你讲话 OK?!?!?!?! BYE BYE!!”  heard my mum say something like “har ok” then i hung up. haha

then halfway through Grosjean crashed! not in front of me though, was sorta disappointed. i think everyone’s sadistic and like to see some carnage so that it’s exciting. but then again, crash can be very dangerous, later driver die or what then quite horrifying. it’s an inner conflict~

since he crashed, everything temporarily stopped so took the chance to rush to the turn to watch. yeah got space for me to see without anyone in front of me. turn is nicer to see lor, cos they are speeding towards u, then slow down abit and turn. can see front, side, back of car yeah. one of force india came VERY CLOSE to the barrier in front of us then everyone was lik WOAH! then after that a Red Bull drive wrongly, instead of turning he go straight into the small road. then he realised and braked and quickly turned back. those precious few seconds let us saw more of the car =)

went back to grandstand and see 15min of the Porsche race. so many look so ah beng!! one Otto Marine yellow one quite cute, then SC Global quite chio, dark blue with silver flakes =) and suddenly seem so slow and nt loud LOL. after seeing F1, every car is slow and so not growling XD but can tell that the Porsches are going really fast la, cos we totally smelled this weird poisonous smell and realised it’s the tyres burning.

F1 created another milestone in my life =)

FFVII ACC!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all, i will like to thank JOLYN for giving me this chance to watch ACC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are ranked 367 in my list. XD XD XD

watching on big tv screen is so shuang. and it’s so CLEAR & SHARP. it’s reli reli reli reli highhhhhhh quality, zotto. And so many new scenes and edited dialogue and diff bg music. Well ACC definitely explains more clearly abt denzel and geostigma and who everyone is. FF VII newcomers won’t get lost watching ACC =) some new scenes i feel it sorta don’t fit, but maybe cos im too used to AC [i watched it lik 15 times already?]

i was abit shocked when they changed the bg music “Water” at the part where tifa n cloud become unconscious. cos it changes to the Nibelheim music in Crisis Core!!!! abit weird leh, cos the Nibelheim music always gives me a creepy chilling feeling.

Rufus’ one-sided conversation with Cloud is alot less crappy and makes a helluva more sense. and i realised tt Rude’s glasses are more transparent cos i can see his eyes! hee. The Turks get more screen time and action yeah! R&R gets some serious conversation, along with a friggin bazooka and a destroyed helicopter. was WOWed at the highway crashing down.

SO MANY NEW HOT HOT HOTTTTTT ANGLES AND SCENES OF CLOUD. HAPPY I AM.

fight with Sephy gets alot tougher. and painful. was going “noooooooooooooooo” and “ouch” on seeing Cloud get stabbed so many times sniff. so much blood lost =’(  and Sephy gets to show off his wing earlier. Collins’ kefka video must be too ingrained into my memory, cos i was actually trying not to laugh when sephy flew with his wing. ["One-winged angel huh?!!! and he goes flying around in circles!! homosexual circles i might add!"-collins]

oh the part i love? Zack makes a more prominent appearance at the end, encouraging Cloud at his time of despair =)  “It’s the question of the heart, you know? The heart.”

GUNDAM FIESTA! ~happy 30th anniversary~

i knew abt this event during STGCC, and was VERY surprised that it’s held at Compass Point of all places in Singapore. and VERY happy cos it’s super convenient for me LOL! couldnt wait to get camera snapping away =)  check them out at my photobucket~

for those who don’t know, Bandai had this REAL G PROJECT to build a REAL SIZED GUNDAM! not the cosplayer’s size, but the REAL SCALE. take the size of your 1/100 models at home and multiply by 100, dudes. there’s this video at the fiesta showing how they made and assembled it. and they printed the size of the footprint on the exhibtion floor to show how HUGE the fricking thing is. found some photos and videos taken by the lucky ppl who’ve gone there to see the Gundam. and i realised that the head can move and there’s gas coming out and it makes sounds OMG SO COOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

look at the size of the ppl and then look at the size of the Gundam. seriously, if anybody really can make it a real machine tt really fights and shoots lasers and fly at speed of light, we are all owned.

Michael Jackson

ok i noe this is super over-discussed/gossipped, but i gotta say that it’s reli a waste tt michael jackson died. he really transformed the music industry, and his songs are known by all. including ppl in their fifties n sixties. n he probably has the craziest most devoted fans who cry n faint n scream n even kneel b4 him [[did u see tt woman in his concert showed on ch5]] now i think about it, he’s the only celebrity where ambulances are prepared for fans LOL. i sorta grew up w his songs, i rem watching his LD over and over again. [[LD - ancient extinct form of DVD]] it’s quite sad tt he died b4 his return concert. i mean, it’s FULLY SOLD OUT. can daresay lotsa ppl are still mad abt him. well he sure has ALOT of personal life (and nose) problems but as a singer, he’s still 经典. seriously, he’s the only one who can make single glittery gloves, super thin white V-neck shirts and loose socks look fashionable. and check out Michael Jackson’s 五连拍:

just bored and went to Esplanade to boliao ard w parents. reminiscing Distant Worlds at the door of the concert  hall…

seeing scenery on the Esplanade roof terrace. at tt time was before NDP, so Electrico can be heard from the floating platform over and over again. What do you see? I see a person sitting on the durian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! am not kidding. it’s one of the hero window cleaners.

met up with pikonco at p.s. did alot of stupid stuff lik qian shou guan yin HAHAHA

my hostel room.. im lucky that it is newly renovated! else fainted.

Marina Barrage

FINALLY, everyone is free yeahhh. went Marina Barrage for 1st time, ev tho it opened so long ago =.= the gallery is a great place to hang out during the day, cos it’s just TOO FREAKING HOT outside. goofed ard, waited 9mins just for tt fake rain to fall haha. then happily went to the rooftop, i was thinking tt the patch of grass so big, sure got space to sit…. but turns out it’s nt lik tt type of nice, light green, clean grass. it’s MUDDY 杂草!!! luckily we manage to find a shady corner on the concrete floor whew.

the policeman (uncle) approached us while we were playing bridge, tot gonna get some scolding but all he said was “no cash ar…” we were all “yaaaa no cash… only have potato chip.” n he’s so bored tt he ended up chatting w us LOL. sad boring job.

ard 7, we heard the helicopters ! flew past us a number of times, n we all waved HIII to the army guy on the chopper who waved back hee. sad to say, there’s nt much air stunts, the 3 fighting planes only just did the split into 3 thing. funny thing is, we didnt see parachutes, but my bro said he saw O.O and we caused 3 false alarms for the fireworks, evrytime we see then just “wooooo!” then nth. when the REAL fireworks started, it’s sorta sad cos the fireworks were blocked by IR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D:  n it’s so short, i expected it but it was still the most anti-climax fireworks i’ve ever seen.

just when everyone tot it’s over, started to leave, heard ppl woooo-ing. all immed turned heads to see, n aha there’s abit more golden ones. 30s later, we went “woooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” n ppl reli all stopped to see got fireworks or not HAHA!! then they realised dun have n stared at us XD hilarious.

weirdest thing happened on e way down: an ang moh ah ma who was on the way up suddenly grabbed my arm n say “Can I go down?” in a v ji dong manner. i was super stunned, thinking ‘huh????? u want to go down just go la..?” then she say “Never go down! Always go UP!” n walked off w her husband. i only “…………………………………wth just happened?!” i cannot get her sense of humour……. jus too stunned liao. O.o

Cosfest VIII: A Very Happy Event

yeah my 2nd cosplay event i went to =) this time it’s better than AFA08, plus there’s SO MANY PPL!! alot of Reborn & Kuroshitsuji, Naruto. surprisingly, no. of bleach cosplayers have dropped ALOT. im really surprised tt there are also a no. of parents actually coming w their children who are cosplaying. lik woah, v supportive =) i even saw a Ah Ma!!! maybe Ah Ma just pass by and come see see for fun hahaha. muz be thinking young ppl nowadays are all crazy XD

Detroit Metal City! this guy is reli reli hilarious. When he was on stage dancing the dance, he started shaking his butt and doing the pelvic thrust lol, and he’s reli good at it man!!! then he did the peace sign, and all other cosplayers followed suit hahaha.  TWO “Friend”s from 20th Century Boys [[i wonder how they see/breathe]]

even tho they are a very mini Bleach team, their jokes make up for it. 1. when ichigo was posing w byakuya, he suddenly said “Aishiteruyo!!!!” LOL byakuya immed start whacking ichigo. 2. byakuya threw some senbonzakura petals and picked them up from the ground one by one.. ichigo commented “hey how come your petals won’t auto come back one? then after every episode u need to pick all up izzit” XD ichigo took one petal n pretended to eat it, then says “hmmm, oishii.” HAHA. 3. they bullied Kon with the dunno wad finger from Naruto, then ichigo says “eh no, because we are bleach team, we use swords!!” bunch of Jokers hahaha

and talking abt jokers, here’s a Star Wars clone joker. there’s this star wars toy gun on display at a booth, then he pointed his own gun at it, then reach out for it like ” i want i want!” then when he took it he held it up high YEAH!! and proceeded to hug it like a kid hahahah. so many ppl lol n took pic.. even the shopkeeper herself XD

Kuroshitsuji cosplay is reli good =) nice nice elaborate costumes. and there were so MANY diff versions of Reborn tt i see until i blur liao haha. and guess who i met at cosfest! sharon as Saber from Fate Stay Night

Final Fantasy I, VI, VII, X appeared too. For FFVII, i saw 3 Cloud Strifes, 1 Zack Fair, 1 Sephiroth, 1 Tifa, 1 Reno, 1 Loz, 1 Yazoo. and i seriously refuse to comment on them, ESPECIALLY SEPHIROTH omfg. all i can say is tt cece’s 1st reaction when she spotted them him was omg and cover my eyes. Terra is reli nice tho. and i got rejected by Jecht for a photo, he said tt he’s going off. and he was a reli gd Jecht too, REAL muscles and stuff. someone manage to take his photo. not mine! credits to the photographer

and the center of attention and winner is Louis Armstrong from FMA! he sang to YMCA song, except he changed the lyrics to Y.. A OI ! super funny!!!!!!!!!! then the whole crowd sang and did the actions along with him. i took a video of his performance haa. he won air ticket to Japan woots. host said tt he has to wear his costume on the plane haha. this Edward and him dunno each other, but Edward got pushed by *her* friends to pose with him LOL. look how bewildered *she* is.

besides all the cosplaying the winner for singing competition on Day 1 sang “Trust You” from Gundam 00. she’s really GOOD. and some photos i didnt take, lik a Vincent Valentine.. i refused to. haha. anyway it’s been a reli fun day. say CHEESE!
